FOUNDER’S BIO 2017-05-29T15:24:32+00:00

Medical Innovation in Context LLC (MedInContext) was created in 2013 by Dr. Susanne (Sanne) Max Radke.

Sanne’s research interest has been in medical oncology early on in her career. She performed academic lab research working on breast and other types of cancers at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg/Germany, Institut Cochin in Paris/France, the Institute for Molecular Biochemistry (ZMBE) in Muenster/Germany, Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan/New York and the Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center in New Haven/Connecticut.

Later on she joined a Yale spin-off biotech company as a senior scientist developing assays to screen therapeutic antibodies for anti-cancer treatment.

After 12 years of research, she left the lab to consult and work with cross-functional teams in the biopharmaceutical industry on anti-cancer drug programs already commercialized or still in development. Her experience includes providing the team with medical, scientific and commercial information to support medical affairs, clinical research, patient safety and marketing programs as well as strategic decision-making.

Sanne’s educational and professional background is a combination of:

  • Science: PhD, two postdocs, associate research and senior scientist in Molecular Oncology covering a total of 12 years of cancer research experience and
  • Business: MBA in Healthcare, 10+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, and 3 years in medical affairs.

  • Sanne is truly a global scientist with great interest in improving cancer care. Her ambition and motivation is to support oncologists in different ways so that they can provide state-of-the-art medical care for their fatally ill patients.
  • Her diverse background enables her to represent academic as well as industrial interests and to function as a bridge between both equally important parties when it comes to clinical research and drug development.
  • Having lived, studied and worked in Germany (>25 years), France (3.5 years) and the United States (>10 years), Sanne speaks three languages (German (mother tongue), English and French), understands cultural nuances as well as the differences in European and North American healthcare systems.
  • Sanne’s focused but open-minded and engaging personality allows her to excel in strategic decision-making and professional network management with different groups of shareholders in the healthcare community.

2013: MBA in Healthcare at Northeastern University Boston.
2003: PhD in Molecular Oncology from the Universities of Paris XI (France) and Düsseldorf (Germany).
2000: MS (or DEA) in Signal Transduction Biology from the University of Paris XI.
1998: Undergrad diploma in Medical Engineering/Biotechnology at the University of Applied Science in Jena (Germany).

Disclosure: Sanne has been working for the biopharmaceutical industry as scientific and medical advisor.
